Beverley Western Australia
Beverley is a town and rural farming community in the Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia, with the shire’s outer edge just 20 kilometers from the easternmost reaches of the Perth Metropolitan Area.
For thousands of years the Ballardong Noongar have inhabited the the region along the Avon River, including Beverley and the surrounding shires.
Europeans first started settling in the Beverley area in the 1860s, and a town was established in 1868. The town began to grow with the arrival of the Great Southern Railway in 1886, and was named Beverley in Yorkshire.
Beverley continued to grow until the 1950s, when improved farming methods and transport led to the town shrinking over fifty years, and is now seeing signs of growth again as families and hobby farmers look to move to a more rural location.
As with most places in Western Australia when you get more than 100 kilometers from the coast, Beverley hot and dry in the summers, cold and slightly wetter in the winters, and is home to a semi arid climate, recording just a little over 400mm of rainfall a year.
The Shire is home of a highly productive broadacre farming industry with sheep, cattle and wheat, with a smaller diversified agricultural base; such as perennial horticulture – mainly herbs and vegetables – also recently finding a home in the region.
Farm sheds serve a variety of purposes in Western Australia, with such a diverse and strong agricultural industry, and this means a wide range of available farm sheds need to be available for the state’s farmers to choose from and customise.
Wheatbelt Steel offer a range of farm sheds for all industries, including Workshops, Machinery Sheds, Hay Sheds, Fertiliser Sheds, Grain Sheds, Aircraft Hangars, Shearing Sheds Equestrian Sheds and more, to ensure that your needs are not just met, but exceeded.
These sheds can be customised with roller doors or sliding doors, windows, skylights or ventilation, insulation or open bays, mezzanine floors, offices and more.
Buying a shed can be a confusing time, as there is a lot of information to process – particularly if it is your first shed, or your first time purchasing a shed. The experts at Wheatbelt Steel have been providing quality farm sheds to Western Australians for more than 40 years, and are available to help answer any questions and guide you to the best decision for you and your farm when it comes to your new shed.
