Marble Bar Western Australia

Marble Bar is the name of a town, locality and rock formation in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, around 300 kilometres inland of the City of Karratha.

The area inland of Port Headland, encompassing Marble Br and Nullagine, is the traditional country of the Nyamal people of the Pilbara, and the area is home to stromatolites that are recognised as some of the earliest life on Earth.

The town gets its name from a nearby jasper bar which was mistaken for marble during the gold rush which pilled over 5000 people to the region in the late 1800’s.

Today, Marble Bar is a much smaller town, servicing mines and cattle stations in the area, with a population of just under a thousand people.

Marble Bar is the second hottest town in Western Australia, behind only Wyndham, with an annual average of 35 degrees, and an average minimum of 19 degrees. The town records a surprising amount of rainfall despite this, with just over 350mm a year falling on average, though it is prone to wild variations year on year.

Originally a mining town during the gold rush, Marble Bar still has a significant mining presence, though there are many cattle stations and pastoral runs in the communties that surround the old town.

Farm sheds serve a variety of purposes in Western Australia, with such a diverse and strong agricultural industry, and this means a wide range of available farm sheds need to be available for the state’s farmers to choose from and customise.

These sheds can be customised with roller doors or sliding doors, windows, skylights or ventilation, insulation or open bays, mezzanine floors, offices and more.
