Northam Western Australia
Northam is a town in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, the largest in the Avon sub region, and the largest inland town in the state not founded on mining.
The town of Northam is firmly situated in Ballardong Noongar country, and was known for Burlong Pool, just outside of Northam, on the Avon River.
The area of Northam was first explored by Europeans in the 1830s, and was founded in 1833 and was named after a village of the same name in England.
The initial importance of Northam declined with the growth of York and Beverley, but the shire is one of the largest in the Wheatbelt, and encompasses the towns of Bakers Hill, Clackline and Wundowie.
Northam has a hot Mediterranean climate, with cool wet winters and hot dry summers, with most years reaching above 40 degrees in the summer and below freezing in the winter. The annual rainfall of Northam is a mere 425mm, however it remains green thanks to its proximity to the Avon River and low lying position.
The areas in and around Northam are home to a vibrant farming community, and the most common forms of agriculture are livestock, grains and pulses, including wheat, barley, oats, sheep, wool, cattle, canola and hay.
Farm sheds serve a variety of purposes in Western Australia, with such a diverse and strong agricultural industry, and this means a wide range of available farm sheds need to be available for the state’s farmers to choose from and customise.

These sheds can be customised with roller doors or sliding doors, windows, skylights or ventilation, insulation or open bays, mezzanine floors, offices and more.
