Pinjarra Western Australia
Pinjarra is a town in the Peel region of Western Australia on the South Western Highway, around 21 kilometers south-east of Mandurah.
The name Pinjarra is said to be a mishearing of the Aboriginal word “beenjarrup” which means swamp, but is more likely to have been named after the Pindjarup people who frequented the area.
Pinjarra is one of Western Australia’s earliest European settlements, and was established by Thomas Peel in 1830.
The town grew to nearly 500 people by 1900, and then had a second wind as the population of Mandurah began to grow in the 1970s.
Pinjarra was quick to become a popular spot for farming thanks to its loamy soils and rich pastures which brought more settlers to the area. Much like the rest of the Peel region, Pinjarra is in a Mediterranian climate zone, and experiences around 625mm of rainfall per year on average.
Despite its original farming growth, Pinjarra has more to do with mining and mineral refinery than it does farming today. This doesn’t mean the area is no longer farmed, as Pinjarra is still an important part of the Peel food bowl, with dairying and horticulture both popular in the area.
Farm sheds serve a variety of purposes in Western Australia, with such a diverse and strong agricultural industry, and this means a wide range of available farm sheds need to be available for the state’s farmers to choose from and customise.

These sheds can be customised with roller doors or sliding doors, windows, skylights or ventilation, insulation or open bays, mezzanine floors, offices and more.
