Tony's Sliding Roof Fertiliser Shed Solution
“I had seen the sliding roof concept before and liked the idea as it eliminates towing a conveyor out every time you get a delivery of fertiliser and it’s also handy extra storage for grain.
“There doesn’t seem to be too many people that make them but through the local concrete mob (Dallcon) I discovered Wheatbelt Steel did.
“They worked in with Dallcon, who did the concrete, and delivered a great result. Overall a top product and works well!”

Colorbond Sheds FAQs
A fertiliser storage shed is a dedicated piece of rural infrastructure built specifically to safely store large quantities of fertiliser, protecting it from the weather, elements, and ensuring it retains its quality until needed use on the farm.
Correctly storing your fertiliser is important, especially in light of recent urea shortages in Australia. A dedicated fertiliser storage shed enables you to purchase fertiliser when the prices are lower, keeping your farm well stocked at all times.
Wheatbelt Steel specialise in the design, fabrication and installation of farm sheds, including fertiliser sheds, grain sheds, fodder sheds, workshops, industrial sheds, equestrian arenas and aircraft hangars.
Our range of fertiliser sheds further comes with a multitude of options including cantilever, canopies, column removal, concrete flooring and panelling, doors and opening types, gutters and downpipes, mezzanines, skylights and ventilations. If it suits your needs you can even install one shed fit for multiple purposes on your farm.
Our in-house production and design capabilities mean we can control costs and quality above all others to provide you a cost-effective turnkey solution.
With fertiliser, it is crucial to retain the cost benefits of upfront bulk buying by storing it correctly. When storing your fertiliser, it is important that it is stored in a space that is dry, ventilated, and clean, as well as being fully enclosed and protected from the elements.
With a fertiliser shed you have the opportunity to optimise returns by delaying sale of your crop to take advantage of market fluctuations. The Wheatbelt Steel™ shed design is a fully fabricated product, welded and hot dipped galvanised for corrosion protection, designed to last a lifetime under the harshest conditions.
