What are Fodder Sheds?
More Than Just Hay Storage
A fodder shed is a versatile farm structure designed to store hay, silage, and other animal feed in a safe and controlled environment.
Unlike open-air storage, a properly built fodder shed protects livestock feed from weather damage, preventing moisture build-up, spoilage, and loss of nutritional value.
Keep Your Organic Animal Feed Safe From the Elements
Exposure to rain, wind, and excessive heat can lead to significant hay and grain losses.
Moisture intrusion causes mould growth, while exposure to sunlight degrades the nutritional value of stored feed.
A well-ventilated and weather-resistant Wheatbelt Steel fodder shed ensures that your livestock always has access to high-quality feed.
Allows You to Buy in Bulk and Save
With the right storage infrastructure in place, farmers can buy fodder in bulk during peak harvest seasons when prices are lower.
A Wheatbelt Steel fodder shed allows you to store surplus feed and avoid the inflated costs of purchasing hay or grain during droughts or shortages.
Long-term savings and greater financial stability make this a smart investment for any farm.
