Chad’s Chemical Shed Installation in Ravensthorpe WA

WA generational farmer, Chad Tuckett recently turned to Wheatbelt Steel to deliver on his shed vision to help strengthen his on-farm operations.

The large-scale crop and sheep producer from Ravensthorpe, located about 550km south-east of Perth, needed a shed design to house his chemicals.

In response, WA’s Wheatbelt Steel team constructed and installed a hot-dipped galvanised Chemical Shed, measuring 32m x 10m x 5.9m with an 8m Lean-to.

“I basically drew up the dimensions of what I was seeking and sent it through to the Wheatbelt Steel team where they produced the technical details,” Chad said.

The experience led to the WA team taking care of site delivery and construction for an effortless experience.

With 60 per cent of Chad’s farm under cropping, and 40 per cent occupied by sheep, he said the shed now gives him peace of mind that his chemicals are stored safely.

“It means everything is secure and correctly vented to comply with Australian standards,” he said.

Chad says he has no hesitation in turning to the Wheatbelt Steel team again. He even jokes he wouldn’t mind another shed soon, adding he knows the sheds are “made to high-quality and built to last”.

“I had no dramas with Wheatbelt Steel … the team was pretty easy to deal with and I would recommend them to others.”
